excellent stay with bay views
bay views menu service friendly staff
I found the location to be quite convenient. the bar offers beautiful views of the bay. the breakfast was also a highlight. I especially appreciated the menu service in lieu of a buffet. the staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
the parking situation is a bit challenging, with very limited spaces available for a hotel of this size. public parking is an alternative, but it requires some walking.

Really good Experience!
convenient location friendly staff clean room valet parking
I found the location convenient, very close to the town amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful. My room maintained cleanliness and a high-quality feel. I particularly enjoyed the valet parking. It was well organized. (I really needed that service!).
The doors to the ladies toilets open inwards. This makes entry difficult.

The room had excellent tea with high-quality teas and Tunnock's treats. It also had a radio with local stations. The cleanliness standard throughout the room was excellent. The bed was large and REALLY comfortable.

The hotel is on the edge of town. It is an easy walk into the town centre. The front offers fine views across the bay. I could see the ferries and boats.

The front desk staff member was professional during check-in. The bar and restaurant staff were helpful. The servers were super-friendly and efficient in their tasks. ALL the staff members I encountered did a great job.

The food exceeded my expectations. The menu seemed understated. Breakfast offered an extensive menu with items made to order. High-quality ingredients were noticeable. It was the best breakfast I've had in a long time. The conservatory is quieter than the dining room.

The lounge area is comfortable and cute. The glass-fronted area is perfect. I could sit and look out over the bay. The hotel offered valet parking for a fee.

expensive parking dim lighting
the parking situation was a bit of a hassle. i had to park quite far away from the entrance to check in, then i learned parking at the hotel cost extra (a charge i found quite steep). also, i found the lighting in the room to be a bit dim (it made it difficult to read in the evenings). these issues took away from an otherwise ok stay.

the dining room offered a nice breakfast menu.
i was quite disappointed with the room i was assigned. it seemed quite dated and in need of some modernisation. also, the beds felt too soft, a real problem for me.

reasonable STAY
wonderful view helpful staff expensive room temperature control
the view from the conservatory were just wonderful. we enjoyed sitting there for breakfasts and our evening meal. staff were very helpful, carrying our two heavy suitcase up and down two flights of stairs, I was very grateful. the menu were wide, wine list extensive and the food were very good indeed.
firstly, two rooms for a week cost us £2400 which is expensive as we're at the end of the season. the bed is nice and large but no storage space. the window can just about be cracked open and there is no temperature CONTROL... this made the room uncomfortably hot

great menu amazing view extra special stay helpful staff
I really appreciated the bar area. It has tables offering amazing water views. i found the breakfast menu in the dining room to be a great touch, with so many options! the staff were absolute stars! they were so helpful.
the beds were a bit soft. that is always tricky for me at hotels. but everything else was superb!
